Unlike Webgenie I am extremely impressed by AVG, its ease of use,
comprehensive cover, reasonable rates, and perhaps above all, rapid
response to queries and problems. I now have the triple-licence AVG
Internet Security suite, running on my desktop (XP), my laptop (Vista
Home Premium) and my girlfriend's desktop (XP Dutch). Like Sogn, I
have used Norton and McAfee, but unlike Sogn I found it was McAfee's
so-called customer service that was so abysmal that I deleted all
traces of their beastly program and instantly switched to AVG on all
computers (having used it for some time on my own desktop). I had
purchased a McAfee upgrade but had had no time to download it and
install it on my girlfriend's computer before going home. A month
later, I exchanged numerous emails with them, plus a translatlantic
phone call, all supposedly designed to assist me in my efforts to
download the file. It then emerged (maybe I had failed to read the
smallish print) that I should have downloaded the file within one
month. Their response: sorry, but tough luck, you'll have to repurchase...

In a way I was quite glad to have a real reason to dump McAfee as I
had found the whole process of keeping it updated not a little
clunky. Mind you, it is probably better these days. (This was a
couple of years ago now.)

HTH,

Cheers,

Harry
