I have a similar problem when viewing http://download.cnet.com/windows.

Attempting to go to one its links causes it to hang up, and the back arrow
will not
function. Sometimes, the double back arrow will get me out of the site.
At other times, I have to close Opera completely.

A friend, not running Opera, has similar situation with this site.
So, appears that this site is so designed to require us to
see its ads.
