Do you really mean 'sent folder' Hugh? (As opposed to the 'Sent' viewpoint  
under 'All Messages')

If you do mean the Sent folder on an IMAP server, you have to set that in  
the account settings (Outgoing tab). If this is unset, Opera will only  
keep a local copy of the outgoing message.
