Gues I have LDIF as an alternative because I imported from
thnunderbird to Opera. I don't have other file save options the LDIF
so I don't know what options you have. But looking at the thunderbird
import dialog (Tools --> import --> Adressbook) it can import
different filetypes. Try som of the export options your Opera
instalation has, and see if thunderbird imports something usefull.
This website seems to have a converter from operas .adr files to a
file thunderbird can read: http://www.hallvord.com/opera/adr2tab.htm
The guide on the website seems to be clear to me. But since it is a
couple of years old I don't know if it still works with a newer
version of opera.
By the way what files does your version of opera export contacts to?
