[OU] perpetual crashes

> Last week I inquired about my problem with fairly frequent crashes of Opera. I 
got some suggestions, which I appreciate. They seemed to help slightly, i.e. 
reducing the frequency of crashes but not stopping them. Then I installed 
version 9.64 and a new anti-virus program (Norton 360 v.2.0) on Saturday. Opera 
continued to crash occasionally until Monday when it started crashing EVERY time 
it was started. It usually crashes immediately, before any pages are loaded, but 
a few times it started loading pages for perhaps 10 seconds, then crashed. I 
tried uninstalling 9.64 and reinstalling 9.25, but the immediate crashes 
continued. Then I uninstalled 9.25 and reinstalled 9.64 - no change. I'm out of 
ideas. For all practical purposes Opera is inoperative, useless. Has anyone 
confronted such severe and constant crashing problems? If so, can you offer any 
suggestions? Thanks.

I am not sure this is any help, but I have been running Opera 9.64 and Norton 
360 v 2. for some time on a PC with XP Professional SP3. without any crashed.
