Misery loves company! It's probably coincidental, but this 
started a few days after a tech support call to Qwest regarding 
a plunge in my DSL speed. The tech guy did a lot of mysterious 
mucking around on his end before seemingly solving the problem. 
I don't see how he could have directly interacted with my PC. And 
it was several days between that and this crash stuff. More 
relevantly, perhaps, is that McAfee found two trojans on this 
computer a couple days ago. It quarantined them, but I wonder if 
somehow they damaged Opera. Nothing else on the computer 
shows signs of diminished performance, however. I'm still at wits
end. Opera has already crashed 3 times this morning. Once when 
using another program; twice when opening pages from Google.
