There's another reason for going back to 9.52, then. It works for me.

release, both of which were slower and didn't work properly...), Java 
1.6, Windows XP Home SP2, AVG Professional 8.0.131 (17/5/08), 
ZoneAlarmPro 7.0.337.000 (21/3/07), Eudora 7.1.0.9 paid (from 
13/11/06), WordPerfect X3 Professional build 13.0.0.565 (SP2), 
ClipMate 7.3.10 build 209 (11/6/08, installed 14/8/08), Process Tamer 
(v2.08.02; by DonationCoder), AdAware 2008 Free Edition (25/7/08); 1 
GB RAM, Pentium 4 @ 3.0 GHz since 6 October 2006. Latest addition: 
Google Earth 4.2.0198.2451 (beta), 15 November 2007. Last updated 
10.48 CEST, 11 October 2008 (back to Opera 9.52 replacing Opera 9.6 release).
