[OU] Gmail use in Opera versus Safari

When viewing Gmail via the Safari version 3.0.4 browser native to my
3-month-old Mac mini running OS X version 10.5.2, *at the end of every
subject line* is box with the choices *Inbox* on the left and *X *on the
right.
Clicking the* Inbox* returns me to the list of emails in my inbox, and
clicking on the *X* deletes the email I'm looking at directly into trash* as
soon as I advance to the next email*.
This feature automatically appears in Firefox, as well.
It's very, very convenient.
I love Opera 9.26. When it works, Wand is superlative, although it's never
filled in all fields, such as my first name.
Having this *Inbox/X* choice appearing at the end of each subject line
of my Gmail when viewing it in
Opera would be icing on an already rich cake.
Does anyone know how to get it to appear in Opera?

Thank you.
