Hi Axel,

If you did an upgrade install, all files should have transferred normally

If you want to manually transfer files, for example for a side-by-side
install of 'old' and 'new', there is no clear-cut answer as paths may
be very different depending on how you installed it (single or
multiple users), and where you installed it.

The below steps should work:

0) First, make sure you have both installs working. Since you will be
replacing any user data in the new install, there's no need to
configure it, but make sure it launched and closed normally at least
once so all directories are created.

1) Check the 'Opera directory' in opera:about in the old version. If
you also used Opera Mail, do the same for the 'Mail directory'.

2) Do the same as last step (1) in your install of 9.51. You will need
to know the paths/

3) Close both versions of Opera before continuing.

4) Copy all files from 1 (the old install) to the Opera directory of
the new install. Overwrite where asked.

5) Launch Opera 9.51. It will update the files as needed and preserve
your settings.

If they are present in your current 'Opera directory', you may opt to
skip the following folders as they are mainly used for local cache,
and will be recreated anyway:
bt_metadata, cache4, images, opcache, voicelib, vps. But it will do no
harm to copy them anyway.

Again depending on where you installed Opera and also depending on
your Windows settings, the Opera directory may be hidden from view. If
so, paste the full path in the Windows Explorer addressbar to open the
directories.

Hope this helps.
