	If I understand correctly what you're describing, there does not  
seem to be a way to change this.  I don't like it either.    
Essentially Opera moves backwards through tabs instead of forward.   
Why, I don't know.  Doesn't make sense to me.

	Here's one work-around that I use.  It's not perfect, but it helps.

	What Opera is doing when you close a tab is to go to the tab it was  
on prior to the one closed.  When I open several tabs at once, Opera  
chooses the left-most tab.  I cycle through all the tabs (using the 2  
key), going left to right, ending at the right-most tab.  Then as I  
close tabs, Opera will choose the next tab to the left in order.  See  
if that works for you.
