Nope, that doesn't appear to work.

New question, though. Opera Mail appears to assign signatures based on
what accout they're sent from. I typically use different signatures based
on recipient, which may or may not have anything to do with the account I
used to send the reply - for example a personal mail and a professional
email sent from the same account would have different signatures. Is there
a way to set up several signatures and attach whichever one I want at the
time, regardless of account?
