OK, I'll try more detail.
1. In Opera choose "About Opera" from the Help menu, look for the line
which says "Opera directory" and write down the path. It should end
with \profile\.
2. I've edited the suggested file contents to also hide the Tools menu
in addition to the Widgets and Feeds you originally wanted to remove.
With your mouse select everything between the dotted lines, then use
the edit menu in your email program to copy that information.
3. Open Notepad and paste the copied information.
4. From Notepad's File menu, select Save.
5. In the upper part, navigate to your profile folder, then the menu
subfolder of that.
6. In the lower part, change the "Save as type:" line to All Files.
7. In the "File name:" field enter "JoelMenu1.ini" without the
quotes, then click the Save button.
8. Back in Opera, open Preferences by using Ctrl+F12, (or from the
Tools menu). Select the Advanced tab, then Toolbars in the list.
The lower part of that panel is the Menu setup, there should be
a "Joel Modified" entry there. Click it, then the OK button. The
menu bar should no longer have Feeds or Tools or Widgets.
If you have any trouble with that procedure, ask again but include
information such as what version of Windows you're using and the
path to your profile.
