That sounds true. It also sounds like you don't actually have 
separate installations of the new and the old versions. If it is 
complaining about not being able to run the old version with the 
new mail files, then the old version must be finding new mail 
files when it starts.  When you install Opera, do you choose the 
option to have individual profiles for each user? If you do, 
that might be part of the problem.
