[OU] textarea is not able to scroll if more than 255 characters are entered

I am having a strange problem. To recreate the problem just follow the
following steps.
1. create a simple textarea (no need for any cols or rows attribute, just
plain textarea)
2. type in 255 characters into it (without any white space or punctuation,
only characters a-z && A-Z)
3. type 1 more character (you can type more if you want)
Ideally, what should happen is that the horizontal scrollbar should resize
itself and the entire text should be scrollable. But what happens is the
horizontal scrollbar disappears, and the text is not scrollable anymore. One
more thing to note here is that the 255 character limit depends on the
font-size. If I increase the font size, the limit decreases.
Does anyone have any clue if this is a bug in Opera, and does anyone know of
any workaround for it. Any help would be appreciated. Quick help would be
much more appreciated :)
Thanx in advance
