[OU] How to prevent version identification via CTCP ?

Dear all,

For Opera's chat-client:

Someone using other chat-client (MIRC) can send queries via CTCP to Opera's 
chat-client (IRC). - (client to client protocol).

For example, they may know the version of the Opera.
Is that dangerous ?

How to prevent Opera chat-client from receiving those CTCP queries?
(or, how to refuse to sending information being queried ?)
