[OU] Washington Post Problems

For the past few weeks I have been having trouble with Washingtonpost.com
under 9.24 with XP Pro SP2.

Many of the links cause my CPU to peg out at 100%. This always 
happens with the
pull-down menu called -
Editorials, Opinions, Columns and Blogs

Another aspect of the problem is that my orange reload circular 
arrows stays as is,
rather than changing to a red X. No hour glass appears either.

With such a popular site being an issue for so long, I fear I am 
alone with this problem,
but cannot imagine what could be wrong.
