Nope. As of now, the best you can get is to access IRC networks.

I wouldn't want Opera to be able to act as an IM client personally, but if it could be implemented without a lot of bloat, I suppose it'd be useful to many people. But if you want to use AIM through Opera, have you considered trying out AOL's java AIM client? It works pretty nicely. And technically, it's working through Opera... ;)
