do you mean opera:about?  Per-Site Preferences do not work for the  
opera:* pages.

If you want to check that the feature works, go to:

http://tntluoma.com/admin/php/ua.php

which will tell you what your browser is reporting for its User Agent.

Mask as IE = Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; en)

ID as IE will include the word "Opera" somewhere near the end of the UA

"Mask" means "Remove the word Opera from the UA entirely"
