According to the keyboard shortcuts list in Opera's help file (which can
be accessed using the keyboard shortcut CTRL-B) the following shortcuts
should help:
Show/activate Hotlists pane with bookmarks tab active
    CTRL + ALT + B
Show/activate Hotlists pane with e-mail tab active
    CTRL + ALT + E
Show/activate Hotlists pane with contacts tab active
    CTRL + ALT + C

Unfortunately, I have those three key combinations mapped to other
things in Windows (for example, CTRL-ALT-E opens Windows Explorer for
me), so Opera never sees those keystokes on my system. Maybe someday
Opera will include a way for us to set up our own keyboard mappings.
