I appreciated the release of O5.11 as the loading progress information
was put into a popup that only comes up when a page is loading.

However, this takes up space and, for example, if an image is loading at
the top of the page, text at the bottom is covered up by the popup.

I suggest an option to put this in the little-used status bar, like the
other browsers.

Have you tried Preferences->Toolbars->Address bar/show progress inside
address bar?
