Press the F4 key to open your Hotlist, select the E-mail tab, then 
select the Inbox and double-click it (or use the keyboard equivalents of 
those actions). Once the Inbox window is open, pressing the "y" key will 
cycle the views of that folder from one with a list of messages on top 
and the current message below, to a view that shows only the message 
list, to a view tha shows only the current message, and back to the 
split view.
