Thanks Erik, Jannik, and Samuli for the feedback.  

I feel like such a dolt!!!  
Such an easy one that I'd just missed, and would've found over 
time.  Time that you guys have now saved me.  

Things are now as they should be.  :-)  

Except that for some reason, when my cursor goes over a link 
on a webpage, it turns into a vertical, black arrow instead of the 
familiar "pointing hand".  
Not a prob though.  Totally livable.  Just not what I like.  

Thanks again guys for pointing me to what should have been 
obvious if I'd just studied the Preferences a little longer.
