[Opera-Linux] So, try and tell me Opera doesn't leak memory like a sieve

Hi Kenny!
I see you asking and asking here on that list, and I'm sorry, I can't tell
you "Yes, me too". But since nobody can tell this either, I feel like
speaking up and somewhat try to help figuring that out.
One thing first: I never saw something like that on my own.
I usually use opera all day long, stable versions, snapshots, etc. I use it
since about 7 years or so on linux.
At the moment I use it on 3 systems, one laptop and 2 desktop PCs (asingel
core and a dual core) running Ubuntu 8.10 32-bit
I don't remember your system configuration by heart, but do you see any
chance to either
- try your system on another rather standard PC by moving/cloning your
harddrive
- use another harddrive in your actual machine and install a stardard
Ubuntu/suse/whatever rocks your boat from scratch without customisation?
Goal would be to rule out either hardware or OS. If you already tried
something comparable, then just tell me and I'll try to catch up with you
and hopefully we find a pattern.
I hope you still have enough energy and patience to step through this, but
as you are still writing here, I am confident, you want some progress here.
Best regards,
Daniel
