Actually, it occurs to me only in hindsight that you are probably interested
in more data points than just that one, so:

This also worked correctly (same version) with:
ATI R600 chip with ATI Catalyst binary 8.3 driver.
ATI Mobility M7 chip with open source ATI drivers.
Intel G-something-less-than-Poulsobro[1] with open source Intel drivers.

All of these would have been Debian or Ubuntu systems.
