Hi, Guys. I don't understand much of what you are talking about, but I ran
lsof |grep opera and got 290 lines. Is this something I should be worrying
about? My machine has been running for seven days with newly installed 9.63
opera.

lsof |grep opera | tail
operaplug 27666       bruce    9u      REG        8,6        0
3015065 /home/bruce/.opera/lock
operaplug 27666       bruce   70r     FIFO        0,5              475413 pipe
operaplug 27666       bruce   87u     IPv4     475632                 UDP
blacky.local:58192->192.168.1.1:domain
operaplug 27666       bruce   88r     FIFO        0,5              475630 pipe
operaplug 27666       bruce   89w     FIFO        0,5              475630 pipe
operaplug 27666       bruce   90r     FIFO        0,5              475631 pipe
operaplug 27666       bruce   91w     FIFO        0,5              475631 pipe
operaplug 27666       bruce   92r     FIFO        0,5              475633 pipe
bruce at blacky:~$
bruce at blacky:~$
bruce at blacky:~$ lsof |grep opera |wc
    290    2575   31352
