Hello,

with 9.50, the changelog indicates that opera is implementing the needed
gtk loop for some plugins.

Indeed, flash player 9 is working much better (also it sometimes seems to
stop working until you press reload several time on the page).

But as I understand it, mplayer plugin should now work directly with opera
9.50 (that is, the gtk2 build, not the one build with only X).

But when using it, I get an error that libgtk-x11-2.0.so could not be
loaded.

I have /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0, but no libgtk-x11-2.0.so.

And doing ldd /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/mplayerplug-in.so, I have :

         linux-gate.so.1 =>  (0xbfffe000)
         libX11.so.6 => /usr/lib/libX11.so.6 (0xb7e5c000)
         libXt.so.6 => /usr/lib/libXt.so.6 (0xb7e05000)
         libSM.so.6 => /usr/lib/libSM.so.6 (0xb7dfd000)
         libICE.so.6 => /usr/lib/libICE.so.6 (0xb7de4000)
         libXext.so.6 => /usr/lib/libXext.so.6 (0xb7dd4000)
         libXpm.so.4 => /usr/lib/libXpm.so.4 (0xb7dc3000)
         libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 (0xb79f7000)
 	...

So, I don't understand why opera tries to loadlibgtk-x11-2.0.so and not
libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0. Also the plugin works under firefox, so all the
libraries are present on my PC.

Did someone succeeded in using mplayer plugin gtk2 with opera 9.50 ?

thanks
