[Opera-Linux] 9.50 (build 1581) sychronization request

I created an account and turned on synchronization for my office and
home office machines.  Now, when there isn't anything else to display,
the status bar shows "Logged in as <username>" all the time.

Can that be made to disappear after some (short) period of time?  It's
a distraction to see something down there all the time when it really
ought to be blank.
