This is a special case of "stash my stuff", for which browser tabs,
browser history and bookmarks are just different examples.
Would it be immensely annoying if OperaDownloads got subdirectories
like Media, Images, Documents created on demand? And said subdirs
would be default location for the appropriate mime types, of course...
Actually, the above would not be innovative or impressive at all.
It's pretty close to what Vista already does (or at least suggests).
I'm not too keen on stuffing my files into categories. Some categories
overlap. What then?
On Unix, you have symlinks. Hence, you can create "views", sort of,
within the file system. I would love to see more thinking, debating
and research around "stash my stuff" and "find my stuff". Not just on
Unix, but cross-platform.
