[Opera-Linux] video playback using the mplayerplugin succesor "Gecko media player" is broken due to a bug in Opera

I would like to point you once more to the Opera thread  
(http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=154160&t=1180477231 -  
last three or four posts) where I reported this for the first time - some  
people seem to have done a fair amount of investigation to the issue.
